EDMONDS ORTHOPEDIC CENTER
The Edmonds Orthopedic Center, located at 7320 216th Street SW in Edmonds WA, is easily accessible from Interstate 5 (220th Street exit) and Route 99 in South Snohomish County.
The Center is built around nine board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons with specific training and expertise in Sports Medicine; Arthroscopic and Minimally-Invasive Surgery; Joint Replacement (hip, knee & shoulder); Shoulder Repair; Spine Surgery; Hand Surgery; Foot & Ankle Surgery and Fracture Care.
The Center includes our Orthopedic Clinic, which offers Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Physical Therapy (PT) and Hand Therapy services. Our Outpatient Surgery Center (Edmonds Center for Outpatient Surgery) has provided surgical care for the past 14 years to our patients. Our Comprehensive Spine Progam (see Proliance Spine Center below), offers the complete spectrum of operative and non-operative spine care including Epidural Steroid Injections (ESIs) performed by board-certified anesthesiologists specializing in Interventional Pain Management.
Proliance Spine Center
The Proliance Spine Center provides complete care for conditions related to the spine, neck and back. Three separate groups work together as an integrated team to provide the full spectrum of non-operative and operative spine care. At the Proliance Spine Center, you get specialized care under the direction of your doctor and no one else. We don't allow other providers to "learn" how to operate or direct your care. There are no fellows or trainees at the Proliance Spine Center. Our doctor's provide direct 1:1 care, whether that is in the clinic or in the operating room where our philosophy has always been “one patient + one surgery = one surgeon!”
Proliance Center for Outpatient Spine and Joint Surgery
Opening soon, the first Outpatient Surgery Center in the Northwest specifically designed for, and dedicated to, outpatient surgery for the spine and total joint replacement. The future of healthcare is applying technological advances to both reduce the cost of care and improve patient outcomes. Edmonds Orthopedic Center is proud to be at the leading edge of this transformation and will soon be able to offer outpatient spine and total joint replacement surgery in a convenient, cost-effective dedicated environment that produces high patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
EDMONDS CENTER FOR OUTPATIENT SURGERY
The Outpatient Surgery Center is accredited by the American Association of Ambulatory Healthcare Centers (AAAHC). The Center is staffed to provide a wide range of outpatient surgical procedures using four operating rooms fully equipped with state-of-the-art surgical equipment.
The Center is staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs) who have specific experience in providing both pre- and post-operative care in an outpatient setting. Anesthesia services are provided by board-certified anesthesiologists who take great pride in delivering outstanding anesthesia for outpatient surgery.
MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (MRI) SERVICES
Edmonds Orthopedic Center offers advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging services through North Puget Sound MRI (located at the former site of CDI/Alliance Imaging in Mountlake Terrace).
North Puget Sound MRI is fully accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for both Spine and Musculoskeletal Imaging. ACR accreditation is the highest level of accreditation attainable and the achievement demonstrates our commitment providing hight quality, cost-effective imaging services to our community.
State of the Art Technology
The facility houses the newest Siemens 1.5 Tesla MRI, which uses state-of-the-art technological advances in MR imaging to provide extremely high resolution and detail for musculoskeletal, spine and neurologic imaging.
The scanner’s dimensions feature a wide bore and short length that dramatically increase patient comfort. This more open feel is particularly important for patients who might otherwise experience anxiety with older technology scanners that produce a feeling of claustrophobia.
Shorter Scan Times
The advanced technological applications that are unique to this new scanner allow for significantly shorter scan times, with most examinations being completed in 30 minutes. Shorter scan times mean a better patient experience!
North Puget Sound MRI is staffed by registered, nationally-licensed MRI technologists who have years of experience with MR imaging. They have completed advanced training in MRI physics, cross-sectional anatomy and MRI pathology. Having such highly trained technologists means you get the best quality study and your doctor has the right information to aid in decision-making.
All MRI studies are interpreted by board-certified, sub-specialty trained radiologists who specialize in musculoskeletal and neurological imaging. This means your doctor works in partnership with the most highly trained subspecialized musculoskeletal radiologists.
North Puget Sound MRI’s focus on patient care, comfort and convenience makes it a leader in the local MR imaging market and the place patients prefer to go for their MR imaging needs.
Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT) and Hand Therapy Services
The Center is staffed with Physical Therapists and Certified Hand Therapists who have specific training and expertise in orthopedic, spine and hand therapy procedures. Our therapists work closely with the physicians to ensure that all patients receive the individualized care that they need. Our Therapy gyms include a wide range of equipment and modalities for providing all types of orthopedic therapy services. Patients prefer the longer appointments and personal attention our therapists provide.
